A temporary web page that takes itself down

Make a temporary web page in one request: Markdown or HTML in, a shareable link out. It expires by itself after 24 hours (7 days with a free key). No account.

Sometimes a page only needs to exist for a day. A draft you want one person to read on their phone. A table of results for today's meeting. A mockup for a review that happens this afternoon. Setting up hosting for that is like renting an apartment for a coffee. MintPage gives you a URL in one request, and the page takes itself down when you are done.

How long a MintPage page lives

You are Pages live Live pages at once Page size
A guest (no account) 24 hours 3 250 KB
On a free key up to 7 days 10 1 MB
On Pro ($5/mo or $39/yr) as long as the account is active 500 2 MB

Guest and free pages are not indexed by search engines and carry a small MintPage badge. When a page expires its link answers 410 Gone with a plain "this page has expired" notice, not a redirect to something else. Nothing is left behind for you to clean up.

Make a temporary page in one request

curl -sS https://mintpage.ai/api/publish \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"title":"Results for Tuesday","format":"markdown","content":"# Results\n\n| Test | Before | After |\n|---|---|---|\n| p95 latency | 410 ms | 220 ms |"}'

The response (HTTP 201) includes url, slug and expires_at, so you know the exact moment the link stops working. format can be markdown or html. Add "expires_in_hours": 2 if the page should die sooner than the plan's maximum (24 hours as a guest, 7 days on a free key). No account, no token, no sign-up page in between.

No terminal? Paste your text or HTML at mintpage.ai/new, look at the preview, press Publish. Same 24-hour page, same link.

Keep it longer, or take it down early

A free key (sent by email from /start) extends the life of a page to 7 days and lets you have 10 at once. With a key your agent can also update_page, pause_page or delete_page before the page expires, and revoke_link kills the old URL on the spot. Guest pages cannot be taken down early; they expire on their own after 24 hours, so if something may need to come down sooner, publish it with a key (or set a short expires_in_hours).

Need one page to stay after all? A Peppermint pack is 10 mints for $5, one time, no subscription: mint_page(page_id) makes that one page permanent, with no badge and a custom slug, and the link does not change. Pro ($5/mo or $39/yr) does the same for every page on the account.

Let your AI agent make the temporary page

MintPage is also an MCP server at https://mintpage.ai/mcp. Add it to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini CLI or ChatGPT and say "put this on a page I can send to Sam"; the agent publishes and hands back the link. For a day-long page the agent needs no key at all. Guides: Claude Code, Claude.ai & Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Windsurf.

What the page can contain

HTML or Markdown. Pages are cleaned every time they are served: inline styles, <style> blocks, images, inline SVG, tables, <details>, grid layouts and dark-mode media queries are kept; scripts, forms, iframes and external stylesheets are removed, and the response lists what was dropped under warnings. That covers notes, reports, tables, mockups, résumés and SVG charts. It does not cover anything that needs JavaScript to work. Details: host a single HTML page.

FAQ

Is a temporary page private? No. There are no passwords; anyone with the link can open it until it expires. The slug is random (8 characters) and guest pages are not indexed, so the link is unlisted rather than secret. Do not put credentials or personal data on one.

Can I choose how long the page lasts? Yes, up to the plan's maximum: pass expires_in_hours (to publish_page or /api/publish) for anything from one hour to 24 hours as a guest, or up to 7 days on a free key. Pro pages and minted pages do not expire.

What happens to the link after expiry? It answers 410 with an "expired" notice. The slug is not reused.

Does it cost anything? Guest pages and the free key cost nothing. Pro is $5 a month or $39 a year, for pages that should stay up.

Can I update the page during the day? With a key, yes: update_page keeps the same link. As a guest, publish a new page instead.

Try it in one line
