MintPage vs Tiiny Host: which one for a single page?

MintPage vs Tiiny Host, compared honestly: no-account publishing, Markdown in, 24-hour pages and an API on every plan vs free static hosting and custom domains.

Tiiny Host is the tool most people land on when they search "host a single HTML file": you drag a file or a zip onto the page, sign up, and get a tiiny.site link. It is good at that. MintPage solves a neighbouring problem, publishing a page from a script or an AI agent with no account in the way, and the two overlap enough that it is worth being clear about when each is the better pick. Figures below were checked against both vendors' public pages on 2 November 2026; vendors change things, so their sites are authoritative.

In short

Pick Tiiny Host if a human is uploading a finished static site or a PDF, wants it to stay up for free, and may later want a custom domain, password protection or working JavaScript.

Pick MintPage if the page is produced by an agent or a script (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, a cron job), if you want a link in one request with no sign-up, or if the page should take itself down after a day.

Where Tiiny Host is simply better

Be honest about this part. If you have a folder with an index.html, images and a script, Tiiny Host will serve it as a working site; MintPage will strip the script and keep only the document. If you need yourname.com in front of the page, a password on it, or a page that stays up for free for months, Tiiny Host has all three and MintPage has none of them. And a 3 MB upload beats MintPage's 250 KB guest limit for anything image-heavy.

Where MintPage is better

No account to get a link. This is the whole point. Tiiny Host requires signing up before the first upload; MintPage returns a URL from one unauthenticated request:

curl -sS https://mintpage.ai/api/publish \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"title":"Release notes 1.4","format":"markdown","content":"# 1.4\n\n- Faster exports\n- Fixed the date bug"}'

The response (HTTP 201) carries url, slug and expires_at. That matters when the publisher is not a person: a Claude Code session, a Cursor agent, a nightly report job. None of them can click through a sign-up form, and none of them should hold your hosting password.

Built for agents. MintPage is an MCP server at https://mintpage.ai/mcp. Add it to Claude Code, Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI or Windsurf and say "put this on a page I can send". Tiiny Host's API exists but starts at $13 a month and expects a file upload, not a tool call.

Safe to publish unattended. Because pages carry no JavaScript, an agent can publish whatever it produced without a human reviewing it for scripts first. The sanitizer keeps styles, images, tables, inline SVG and dark-mode CSS; it drops scripts, forms, iframes and external stylesheets and lists what it dropped under warnings. Details: host a single HTML page.

Markdown in. Most agent output is Markdown. MintPage renders it directly; with Tiiny Host you convert to HTML first.

Expiry as a feature. A page that is only needed today can be published with expires_in_hours and disappears on its own, answering 410 Gone afterwards. See temporary web page. Tiiny Host sites stay up, which is right for a portfolio and wrong for a one-day handoff.

Cheaper to keep one page. A single page that should stay up costs $5 one time (a Peppermint pack, 10 mints) on MintPage, or $5 a month on Tiiny Host's cheapest paid plan.

Using both

They are not exclusive. A reasonable split: Tiiny Host for the static site you built by hand and want on your own domain; MintPage for everything an agent emits during the day, with the few pages worth keeping minted permanent.

FAQ

Is MintPage a Tiiny Host alternative? For a single HTML or Markdown page that needs a link quickly, yes, and it is the only one of the two that works with no account and from an AI agent. For a full static site with scripts, a custom domain or a password, it is not; use Tiiny Host or a general static host.

Can I host a PDF on MintPage? No. MintPage publishes HTML and Markdown. Tiiny Host hosts PDFs (0.5 MB on the free plan).

Does the Tiiny Host free site really never expire? Their page says there is no expiry date as long as you log in at least once every three months. MintPage's free pages expire by design (24 hours as a guest, up to 7 days with a key) unless minted or on Pro.

Which one indexes in search? Guest and free MintPage pages are noindex; Pro and minted pages can be indexed. Check Tiiny Host's current policy on their site.

What does a free MintPage key cost? Nothing. It arrives by email from /start and lifts the limits to 10 pages, 1 MB and 7 days.

Try it in one line

No account needed. Pages last 24 hours as a guest, 7 days with a free key, forever on Pro.
